For First-Time China Importers

If this is your first time buying from China, these 6 questions cover everything you need to know.

Q1. Is Ruikexing a factory or a trading / sourcing company?

Great question — and important. We are not a manufacturer. We are a product distributor + custom sourcing agent based in Zhengzhou, Henan, China. This means two ways to work with us:

  • Featured Products Distribution: We have 18 curated, pre-priced SKUs (diamond tools, makeup brushes, hair, auto parts, home, outdoor) at factory-direct volume pricing. You order like any supplier, we ship within the lead time.
  • Custom Sourcing Agent: Send us any product list or specification — we search 3 best factories from our 1000+ partner network, negotiate, you choose one, then we QC, consolidate, ship, and follow up.

Why this is a GOOD thing for you: Because we don't own a factory, we never force you to buy "our" goods or hide bad quality to protect our margin. We work for you, not the factory.

Q2. What is the minimum order value / MOQ? I'm just starting out.

Our lowest order value is $500 USD. Per-SKU MOQ depends on the product:

Category Typical MOQ Sample Available?
Diamond Saw Blade 500 pcs ✓ Yes (sample cost refunded on bulk)
Drill Bit Kit 300 sets ✓ Yes
Makeup Brush 10-Set 500 sets (OEM) ✓ Yes (stock color)
Human Hair Extension 50 bundles ✓ Yes (1 bundle sample)
LED Headlight Pair 100 pairs ✓ Yes (2 pairs sample)
Silicone Kitchen Set 500 sets ✓ Yes
Camping Folding Chair 200 pcs ✓ Yes
Custom Sourcing (any product) $500 total order value — can mix 5+ SKUs via LCL

Smaller than $500? We still recommend going ahead with a sample / trial order. Message us on WhatsApp or email and we'll find a solution (e.g. combine with other buyers' LCL consolidation).

Q3. What payment methods do you accept? Is it safe?

Standard payment term = 30% deposit + 70% balance after you pass our Pre-Shipment QC report. You never pay 100% up front.

Methods We Accept

  • T/T (Telegraphic Transfer) to our company bank account — most common, lowest fee.
  • Alibaba Trade Assurance — holds payment in escrow until goods ship, ideal for first-time clients.
  • Irrevocable Letter of Credit (L/C) — for larger orders ($50k+), issued through major banks.
  • Western Union / MoneyGram — accepted for small sample payments only.

Your Payment Security

  • ✓ Company account, not personal account (you can verify our business license on request).
  • ✓ 70% balance is paid after you receive and approve the FQC photo report — not before production.
  • ✓ For Russian / CIS clients — we support commonly used cross-border settlement routes (ask our Russian team for current options).
  • ✓ For Latin America clients — we handle USD TT and can assist with Mercado Libre / PayPal-style escrow where applicable.
Q4. What do FOB / CIF / EXW mean? Which one should I choose?

These are the three most common Incoterms (international trade terms). Use this table to decide what works for your country's import setup:

Incoterm Who Pays Freight to Port Who Pays Insurance / Sea Freight Best For
EXW (Ex-Works) You (we just hand over at factory gate) You Rare. Only if you have a dedicated freight forwarder in China you already work with.
FOB (Free on Board) ⭐ Recommended for most We (delivery to ship on board) You (choose your own forwarder) Best cost control. You pick the sea/air line and can compare freight quotes.
CIF (Cost + Insurance + Freight) We We (includes basic cargo insurance) Convenient one-price-all for first-timers, but you lose visibility into freight cost breakdown.
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) We We + import duty at destination Door-to-door all-in. Limited to specific countries where we have clearance partners (ask for coverage for your city).

New buyer rule of thumb: Start with FOB Shanghai / Qingdao. Our quote will include everything up to the ship on board, and we'll send 3 freight forwarder quotes for your sea leg so you have full control.

Q5. How long does a full order take? Breakdown by stage.

A typical first-time order (1x20' container, mixed featured products or custom sourcing) takes 4–8 weeks from payment to departure, plus the international shipping leg. Stage breakdown:

1
Inquiry → Quote (1–2 working days)

Send list, get featured-sheet or 3-factory comparison quote.

2
Sample (optional) (7–15 days)

Courier via DHL / FedEx / SF to your address. Sample cost is refundable on bulk order ≥ MOQ.

3
PI Sign + 30% Deposit → Production (10–25 days)

Stock products (some featured SKUs) ship in 7–10 days. OEM / made-to-order takes 15–30 days.

4
Triple QC + Balance + Loading (3–5 days)

We send the FQC report, you pay 70% balance, we load container and issue full documents.

5
International Shipping

Sea: 14–38 days depending on destination · Rail (Zhengzhou → RU/CIS): 12–18 days · Air: 5–10 days · Express: 3–5 days.

6
Destination Clearance + 30-Day Support

We answer document questions, assist with clearance, and handle 30-day defect claims if any.

Q6. What documents will I get? Is the paperwork complete?

All documents are emailed within 3 working days of vessel departure (or faster for air/rail). Standard package includes 7 documents:

  • Commercial Invoice (CI) — signed & stamped.
  • Packing List (PL) — per-carton breakdown, weights, CBM.
  • Bill of Lading (B/L) — original or Telex release.
  • Certificate of Origin (CO) — CCPIT-issued.
  • Form A / Form F / Form E — preferential tariff certificate, depending on destination (we advise which one reduces your duty).
  • Insurance Certificate (if CIF/DDP terms).
  • Full Quality Inspection Photo Report — 20+ photos per SKU before loading.
  • Optional extras — CE / RoHS / FDA / test reports for specific products, on request.

Featured Products · OEM · Private Label

Questions about buying from our 18 featured SKUs, adding your logo, or requesting custom colors and packaging.

Q7. Are the 18 featured products always in stock? Or do you produce to order?

A mix. Each product card on the Products page shows an "In Stock" or "OEM OK" tag — here's what it means:

IN STOCK Ready in 7–15 days

Raw materials or semi-finished stock held by partner factories. Can ship fast (great for trial orders or re-stock). Private label packaging + logo print still possible within the same lead time.

OEM OK Made to order in 12–35 days

Custom colors, custom hair length, custom handle engraving, custom packaging. MOQ is slightly higher for full OEM (see table in Q2). End product is 100% your brand.

Pro tip for new brands: Place a small MOQ order for "In Stock + Private label packaging" first. Sell through once, confirm market fit, then scale to a full OEM run with fully custom specs.

Q8. Can I put my own logo / brand on the products and packaging?

Absolutely — this is one of our most requested services. Private label is available for all 18 featured products, and we handle the whole process end-to-end:

  1. Step 1 — Artwork: You send us your logo (AI / PDF / high-res PNG). We create mockup visuals for product + packaging at no extra charge.
  2. Step 2 — Method (depends on product):
    • Makeup brushes / kitchen utensils / camping chairs: laser engraving, silk screen print, heat transfer, or debossed leather tag.
    • Diamond tools / drill bits: laser marking on metal surface + custom box label.
    • LED auto bulbs, nail drills: UV print on body + custom gift box.
    • Hair extensions: custom band / tag / wash-care label with your brand name.
  3. Step 3 — Packaging options (we send die-cut templates):
    • Standard: neutral brown box (fastest, lowest cost)
    • Mid: full-color retail box / blister pack / color sleeve
    • Premium: PU leather pouch (brushes), tin box (tools), branded carry bag (chair)
  4. Step 4 — Pre-production sample is photographed and sent for your written approval before bulk production runs.
MOQ reminder for OEM: Stock products with logo only — as low as 500 sets / pieces. Full custom color + fully custom packaging — generally 1000 pcs/sets.
Q9. Can I request samples first? How much does sample shipping cost?

Yes. Sample rules are simple:

  • Sample cost: varies per product. Small items (brushes, drill bits) are typically $15–40. Large / heavy items (camping chair, grinding wheel) $25–60.
  • Sample shipping cost: we get 3 courier quotes (DHL / FedEx / UPS / SF) and you pick. Typical courier cost to RU / KZ / ES / MX / CL = $30–60 per 0.5–2kg parcel with 5–8 day delivery.
  • Refund policy: 100% of the sample product cost is credited back to you when you place a bulk order ≥ standard MOQ for that SKU. You effectively get samples for free.

Save on sample shipping: tell us if you have an existing DHL / FedEx account number — we can ship on your account, no courier mark-up.

Q10. Are your prices really factory-direct? How come they are lower than Alibaba?

Great question — because we get this a lot. Here is exactly why our pricing is competitive:

  • We buy in consolidated volume. Instead of you ordering 500 pieces alone, we pool featured-SKU orders across our client base into larger factory batches. Factory gives us a better tier price, which we pass through.
  • No Alibaba store commission. A standard Alibaba Gold Supplier takes a 2–4% hit on every transaction plus annual store fees ($4k–$10k/yr). We run our own website and pass that savings to you in the product price.
  • Factory-neutral quoting (for custom sourcing). When you ask for custom sourcing, we get 3 factories to bid and share the side-by-side quote with you — not just the one with our fattest kickback.
  • Zhengzhou cost base. Office and warehousing costs inland are significantly lower than coastal cities (Shenzhen / Shanghai / Ningbo). Overhead stays lean.

Want to verify? Send us any Alibaba link for a comparable product — we'll give you a Ruikexing quote plus explain any quality difference (material, thickness, certification grade). No pressure, just facts.

Q11. What certifications do you have for featured products?

Certifications are product-dependent. Below are the most common ones. Full test reports are available on request and sent with your Pre-Shipment QC package:

Product Family Standard Certifications On-request (extra cost / lead time)
Diamond saw blades / grinding wheels MPA, EN 13236, factory ISO 9001 OSHA label (USA market), CE full test report
Makeup brushes, nail drill, skincare tools ISO 22716 (GMPC), FDA food-contact silicone test, MSDS EU cosmetic product notification (CPNP), Reach for bristle materials
Human hair products Factory ISO 9001, SGS health & hygiene test SGS hair-origin / virgin-hair declaration
LED car bulbs CE (EMC+LVD), RoHS, IP68 test report E-Mark R10 (EU vehicle), DOT (USA aftermarket)
Silicone kitchen utensils FDA food contact, LFGB (EU), BPA-free test Custom country-specific food-safety requirements
Outdoor camping chair EN 581 (outdoor furniture), ISO 9001 Flame-retardant fabric test, 150kg load-bearing test video
Q12. I don't see my product on the featured list. Can you source it anyway?

Yes! That's exactly what our Custom Sourcing Agent service is for. The 18 featured SKUs are just the fast-dispatch list. Our actual sourcing network is 1000+ verified partner factories across China covering nearly every category you can think of.

Custom Sourcing · QC · Logistics · Fee · Claims

How the sourcing agent side works: fees, on-site quality control, shipping, and what happens if something goes wrong.

Q13. How does your custom sourcing service fee work? Any hidden cost?

We keep pricing simple and fully transparent. Here is the standard fee schedule for custom sourcing projects (not featured products — featured products use the listed buy-it price with margin built in):

Order Value (Total FOB) Service Fee Model What's Included
Above $50,000 USD (large / repeat orders) 3% Service Fee on FOB value 3-factory quote · 3-stage QC · LCL consolidation · all documents · order tracking
$10,000 – $50,000 USD (most first-time orders) 5–6% Service Fee Same as above. Exact % confirmed upfront in the PI, fixed — never goes up.
Below $10,000 USD (trial / small projects) Flat fee $500 USD Same level of service. A flat fee is more cost-effective for you than % at this size.

What's ALWAYS included

  • ✓ Factory audit (on-site visit + license verification)
  • ✓ Side-by-side price comparison
  • ✓ Sample coordination
  • ✓ 3-stage QC (IQC · PQC · FQC)
  • ✓ LCL consolidation from multiple factories
  • ✓ All export documents
  • ✓ 30-day post-arrival defect support

What we NEVER charge extra

  • ✗ Factory kickbacks / hidden rebates
  • ✗ "Administration" or "documentation" fees
  • ✗ Mark-up on freight (we send forwarder invoice direct to you)
  • ✗ Charges for re-quotes or price negotiations
  • ✗ Charges for sending QC photos or videos
Q14. What exactly do you check during Quality Control? Do you send evidence?

Our Triple-Stage QC covers three separate checkpoints. Every stage produces a dated, photo-documented report sent to you within 24 hours:

🔬 Stage 1 — IQC (Incoming Quality Check)

Before production starts — within 24 hours of raw material delivery.

  • Raw material spec sheet vs order spec match
  • Material test report verification (steel grade, silicone food-grade, diamond grit concentration, hair cuticle, etc.)
  • First-article sample approval (pre-production reference piece signed off by you)

🔎 Stage 2 — PQC (Process / During-Production QC)

At 30% and 70% production completion — two unannounced on-site visits.

  • Dimensional tolerances, weight, spec conformity
  • OEM / logo / packaging print accuracy check
  • Workmanship (seams, stitching, gluing, sharp edges, etc.)
  • Functional test (drill bit runout, LED brightness, chair load test, brush shedding test, etc.)
  • Short on-site video clip + batch photos sent same day

✅ Stage 3 — FQC (Final / Pre-Shipment QC) — the GATE

When goods are 100% finished, packed, and ready for container. AQL 2.5 standard.

  • Random sample drawn per ISO 2859 / AQL Level II
  • Full packaging verification (markings, barcodes, logo, insertions)
  • Carton count verification vs Packing List
  • Container loading supervision — photos of sealing, container-number sticker
  • You must approve the FQC report in writing before 70% balance is released and container sails.

How do you receive evidence? Each stage sends a PDF report via email — typically 20–60 photos per SKU + a short video clip on request. Everything is stored in a shared folder so you can audit later.

Q15. Can I mix products from multiple factories into one container? (LCL Consolidation)

Yes — this is one of our biggest advantages over buying direct from a single factory. LCL (Less than Container Load) consolidation and multi-factory mixing are included in both featured product and custom sourcing orders.

How it works in practice:

  1. You order e.g. makeup brushes from Factory A (Luyi), diamond blades from Factory B (Changge), kitchen silicone from Factory C (Yangjiang), and camping chairs from Factory D (Taizhou).
  2. Each factory ships finished goods to our Zhengzhou consolidation warehouse — domestic freight is negotiated by us and billed at cost.
  3. Warehouse team verifies cartons received vs each factory's packing list, does a final re-inspection, and consolidates into one 20ft / 40ft / LCL shipment on a single Bill of Lading.
  4. You pay one set of export docs & one international freight invoice instead of 4.
Typical savings of LCL consolidation vs direct factory LCL: Client saved €2,400 on one 20ft container mix (see case study on homepage). You avoid 4x B/L fees, 4x customs declaration, 4x port terminal handling charges, and weeks of follow-up.
Q16. Shipping options: Sea / Air / China-Europe Rail — which is right for my order?

Quick-reference comparison table for the 4 shipping methods. We advise which one fits your country + cargo type + urgency.

Note for Russian and Latin America importers: Please read the region-specific FAQ Q17 & Q18 below for EAC certification, payment routes (RU), and preferential FTA duty savings (LATAM).

Q17. What if I receive defective or wrong goods after arrival? (Claims policy)

This is the exact moment you need a real partner, not a disappearing factory. Our 30-day post-shipment defect claim process is simple and fair:

1
Notify within 30 calendar days of container arrival

Email or WhatsApp: photos of the outer carton marks + inner unpacking + close-up of defect, with your claim quantity and what is wrong.

2
We cross-reference with our FQC report

If the defect was present at loading and missed in our QC → Ruikexing + factory share responsibility.

3
Resolution menu (you choose)
  • Free replacement shipped together with your next order (most common)
  • Partial refund via bank or TT credit on next order
  • Full refund for the defective quantity in proven cases of total mismatch
  • For insured CIF/DDP shipments — we handle the cargo insurance claim end-to-end for you.
Claim exclusions (same across the whole industry):
  • Damage caused by customer mishandling, improper storage, or modification after arrival.
  • Natural wear & tear or consumable deterioration (e.g. diamond blades after use, makeup brush after washing).
  • Customer requested non-standard design that failed (we always recommend pre-production sample to avoid this).
Q18. Region-specific: Russia EAC / payment routes · LATAM FTAs & duties?

We handle region-specific details so you don't have to. Below is a brief summary — for a live quote including these items, please contact our RU or ES native-language teams directly.

Россия · Казахстан · Беларусь · Узбекистан

  • EAC Declaration / TR CU / GOST-R: We coordinate with accredited Russian / Kazakh certification bodies for tools, hardware, auto parts, beauty electricals, etc. Cost is per product category and quoted separately. Lead time 7–21 days.
  • China-Europe Railway + LCL: Zhengzhou → Moscow 14–18 days door-to-door, consolidated LCL available. Much faster than sea for RU / CIS market.
  • Settlement routes: Experienced with commonly used USD / RMB / RUB pathways for Russian importers. Contact our RU native-speaking account manager for the latest options (routes change).
  • Ruble / USD hybrid invoices: can be discussed for repeat clients.

Chile · Perú · México · Argentina · Colombia · España

  • Chile FTA Form F: China-Chile Free Trade Agreement certificate → 0% duty for most industrial goods. We prepare Form F — this alone typically saves you 6–14% landed cost.
  • PE / CO / MX / AR / ES: we issue correct origin documents (CO, Form A, Form L, etc.) to maximize your preferential access under existing trade agreements.
  • Mercosur / ALADI considerations: we quote FOB vs CIF side-by-side so you can compare including your local broker's duty estimate.
  • Spanish-language QC reports: all quality photos + summaries can be delivered in Spanish for your warehouse or importer compliance records.
